Chandrayaan-2, built in the country, will be launched on July 15 at 2:15 pm on the moon. Many new things are associated with this campaign. ISRO chief Dr K Sivan told that Chandrayaan-2 is being sent to the Moon’s the South Pole. Vikram Lander going with Chandrayaan-2.This is important because no country has reached here till date. This part of the moon still remains a mystery to scientists all over the world.
The mission, which costs approximately one thousand crores, will be launched from the GSLV MK-3 rocket. The weight of this spacecraft is 3800 kg. Along with this, Vikram and Pragyan are also going, people are interested in what they are all about. Actually, there will be 3 modules in the spacecraft, orbiter, lander (Vikram) and rover (Pragyan). Let’s say that a rover is a vehicle that has the ability to move around on another planet or astronomical object.
That’s why Vikram got the name
Vikram Lander going with Chandrayaan-2 – Chandrayaan 2 lander is named Vikram after Dr Vikram Sarabhai, the father of the Indian space program. This will serve as a soft landing on the moon. It will work till one lunar day till it is almost 14 days on earth. The weight of Vikram Lander is 1,471 kg. It can communicate with IDSN as well as orbiter and rover at Bayalu near Bangalore. It will carry the instrument to detect three payloads, Moon bound hypersensitive ionosphere and atmosphere (RAMBHA), lunar surface thermo-physical experiment (ChaSTE) and lunar seismic activity (ILSA).
Knowledge Rover will install elements in rocks
The Pragyan Rover is a six-wheeled robot vehicle that weighs 27 kg and can generate 50 watts of power. It can travel up to 500 meters and can only communicate with the lander. It will carry the Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS) payload.
This payload uses X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy to detect all the major elements required for rock-farming such as magnesium, aluminium, silica, calcium, sodium, titanium, iron and some others such as yttrium, strontium, and zirconium. . It will also take the Laser-induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), which will be used to identify and fund the abundant elements present near the landing site.
India will become the fourth country
Chandrayaan will land near the South Pole of the Moon on September 6 or 7. Vikram Lander going with Chandrayaan-2 With this, India will become the fourth country to land on the lunar surface. Earlier, America, Russia and China have sent their vehicles to the lunar surface. Israel also tried to send a mission to the moon in April 2019, but it failed.
Israel’s moon spacecraft Barrett’s contact control room on the earth broke down and crashed. With the accident, the first privately funded moon mission has failed to form history. In the final stages of landing on the moon, the spacecraft lost contact with the control room on Earth.
